SOLON TWP. — The Kent County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred June 23 in Solon Township. The incident, which at time of publication, is believed to have been an accidental discharge causing injury. Deputies were called to a Grand Rapids-area hospital after receiving a report of a gunshot wound sustained earlier that day. The incident took place in the 3400 block of 18 Mile Road. The shooting itself is believed to have happened earlier that afternoon.
