Motorcyclist Dies in Algoma Township Motorcycle Crash

ALGOMA TOWNSHIP — A 60 year old Rockford man died Sunday evening following a motorcycle crash in Algoma Township.

Kent County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded at approximately 6:30 p.m. May 25, 2026, to the area of Algoma Avenue south of 12 Mile Road for a report of a motorcycle crash.

According to initial investigation, the motorcycle left the roadway for unknown reasons and struck a ditch, causing the rider to crash. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved.

The Kent County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
