SOLON TOWNSHIP — On Friday, January 23, 2026, at approximately 1:50 p.m., Kent County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a report of a shooting that had just occurred following a road rage incident near Quarter Horse Drive NE and Algoma Avenue NE.

Seniors Capture Powderpuff Win Under the Lights

Cedar Springs kicked off both Red Flannel and Homecoming season with plenty of school spirit at Red Hawk Stadium, as the seniors defeated the juniors 24-6 in the annual powderpuff football game.
