SOLON TOWNSHIP — The Solon Township Planning Commission took a measured approach July 22, voting to amend a proposed zoning ordinance while postponing action on a separate rezoning request tied to the 17 Mile Road and Algoma Avenue corridors.

Cedar Springs kicked off both Red Flannel and Homecoming season with plenty of school spirit at Red Hawk Stadium, as the seniors defeated the juniors 24-6 in the annual powderpuff football game.
